"Make a Splash—READ!" is the theme this summer at the Lang Memorial Library. Children will explore the world of water and water fun through stories, songs, games and other activities about oceans, rivers, lakes, and pools and the creatures that live there. The 2010 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, preschool through adult, with programs, prizes, story hours, a reading club, and more. Families are invited to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program. Registration for the Summer Reading Program is in progress so don't forget to sign up! Ask a librarian for more informatin or call the library at 626-2101.
Considered by many as the "must-see" documentary of the year, Fresh will beheld at St. Patrick's Church in Cato on April 24th at 1:00pm. This important program about sustainable farming is presented by the Lang Memorial Library and will include a discussion of the film with Jamie Edelstein of Wyllie Fox CSA Farm. Samples of products locally grown or produced, as well as recipes for healthy eating, will also be presented.
